OLIVE, NY — March 18th — Firefighters from the Olive Fire Department Co. #1 Inc. held forced entry training to evaluate strategies for gaining access to secure structures during crises.

The hands-on training focused on safe and efficient entry procedures for fires, medical emergencies, and rescue incidents, with the goal of limiting property damage. Regular practice allows firemen to do these tasks more effectively during actual crises.

The Phoenicia Fire District created a forcible entry training prop that department members utilized to practice tool placement, coordination, and entry techniques.
