March 6, 2026 — Lynn Haven Fire Rescue firefighters visited a local Childcare Network center to celebrate Dr. Seuss Week by reading stories and introducing young students to the fire service. During the visit, Lt. Lindsey, Firefighter Ward, and Battalion Chief Ingram spent time reading a classic children’s book and engaging with the students through questions and discussion about firefighting and emergency response. The firefighters also brought Engine 52 to the site, allowing the children to see a real fire apparatus up close and learn about the equipment firefighters use to help protect their community. The event provided a fun and educational experience, giving the students an opportunity to interact with local first responders while promoting literacy and fire safety awareness. Officials say outreach programs like this help strengthen community relationships and inspire curiosity among young residents about the work firefighters do every day.
