March 5, 2026 — The Jay Fire & Rescue responded to assist at a significant auto shop fire along Route 4 in Turner, Maine. Jay Fire deployed its Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) along with a tanker to support crews operating at the scene. Multiple emergency agencies responded to the incident, which drew a substantial firefighting presence to the area. Officials confirmed that the cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Maine State Fire Marshal's Office. Authorities also advised residents and motorists to avoid the immediate area while firefighters worked to control the fire and ensure the safety of responders.
