Moonachie Mourns Loss of First Aid & Rescue Squad Member

Moonachie First Aid & Rescue Squad member Robert Thornton was taken off of life support on February 27th. A flag was then raised at Hackensack Meridian and Health Hospital in his honor, as he was an organ donor and will save many lives.
Thornton joined the Moonachie squad in 2019 and donated countless hours of time to the unit.
He was clearing an accident scene for Nick's Towing when he was struck by an out-of-control vehicle on Route 3 in Rutherford, February 13th.
