On February 18, Deposit Fire Department members joined firemen and EMS professionals from across the region for countywide snow plow incident training.

The training was organized by the Broome County Office of Emergency Services, the Broome County Highway Department, and Oralls Garage.

Participants discussed the factors to consider while responding to situations involving snowplows and other big equipment. The hands-on session consisted of two scenario-based exercises. One scenario entailed removing a patient from the cab of a snow plow, while another concerned rescuing a patient stuck in a car beneath a plow.
