Historic Bedford Road Structure Removed for Safety

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

The Bedford Hills Fire Department and the Bedford Hills Fire District stated that the structure at 352 Bedford Road, previously known as Kicho, was demolished on February 24th. The structure was listed as a historic building by the Town of Bedford. Officials indicated that destruction took place only after local permissions and examinations showed that the building's structural components had deteriorated and no longer satisfied safety requirements.

The site is owned by the Bedford Hills Fire District. While future plans are still being discussed, officials have hinted that the location could be used to assist enhancements to emergency services for Bedford Hills residents.
