Cambridge, NY — February 19th —The Cambridge Valley Rescue Squad, Inc. held a training session on supraglottic airway use in preparation for deploying iGel airway devices for both BLS and ALS clinicians.
Medical Director Dr. John Broderick led the class, which included 22 EMS providers from the Easton-Greenwich Rescue Squad, Salem Rescue Squad, and Hoosick Regional EMS.
The seminar covered airway management strategies and the use of supraglottic devices to assist caregivers in promptly securing a patient's airway during medical emergencies. Officials stated that, while continuous education is required for EMS certification, all participants came to the nighttime training on their own time to improve patient care skills and regional cooperation.
