Cambridge Valley Rescue Squad Recognizes Colby Brundige

Cambridge, NY — February 12th —The Cambridge Valley Rescue Squad, Inc. has announced that Colby Brundige has received his New York State Paramedic certification.


Many members began working with Brundige during ALS intercept responses with Petersburgh EMS. He then undertook a paramedic field internship with Cambridge Valley Rescue Squad, where he learned alongside experienced paramedic preceptors while responding to emergency calls.


Paramedic certification in New York usually takes 12 to 18 months of training and more than 1,000 hours of instruction. The program includes classroom education in advanced cardiology, pharmacology, airway management, and trauma care, as well as hospital clinical rotations and field internships.
