Elizabeth Township, Pa. — December 30 — Due to dangerous driving conditions brought on by the winter weather, Elizabeth Township Fire Department units responded to several car collisions around the township in the morning. Several mishaps were caused by icy and snow-covered roads, which kept workers busy throughout the early commute. When necessary, fire department units helped with traffic control, scene safety, and coordination with other responding authorities. Road personnel from the state, county, and local governments were also working in the region, continuing to remove and treat the impacted roads.
