Cape May, NJ — December 12 — During the week, members of the Department Cape May Firefighters, located at 712 Franklin St., trained all around the city on their new tower ladder. The new equipment's functions, familiarization, and safety features were the main topics of the training.

Representatives from Pierce Manufacturing assisted with instruction, and Sam from Pierce worked directly with members to go over the truck's capabilities, setup, and systems. Rob from Fire & Safety Services offered extra assistance in the form of best practices and operational direction. Members went over daily inspections, hydraulic operations, and aerial operations. In order to guarantee that operators are equipped to operate the tower ladder in a safe and efficient manner, driving and placement training will continue in the upcoming months.
