Woodbine, NJ — December 22 — After receiving a grant that funded significant operational improvements, the Woodbine Volunteer Fire Company, situated at 517 Dehirsch Ave., recently put new equipment into service. The department was able to improve firefighter safety and visibility during fireground and search operations by purchasing new personal thermal imaging cameras thanks to funding.
Hurst Jaws of Life also provided the department with new hydraulic rescue equipment that runs on batteries. These instruments offer improved dependability, portability, and efficiency during motor vehicle rescue accidents and replace equipment that has been in use for more than thirty years.
