December 6, 2025, daytime — Farmington Volunteer Fire Company No. 4 units were staged at the Police Athletic League of Egg Harbor Township as part of preparations for the annual “Shop with a Hero” event. Engine 1543 and Car 1541 were placed on standby to escort participating children to the Mays Landing Walmart for the community program hosted by the Egg Harbor Township Police Activities League in partnership with Atlantic County.

The event pairs children with first responders and law enforcement officers for a holiday shopping experience, providing gifts and creating positive connections within the community. Fire company members assisted by ensuring a safe and coordinated escort as the group traveled to and from the shopping destination.
