Middlehope Responds to chimney fire on Christmas Eve

Middlehope FD responded to reported chimney fire at 7 Fairview Lane on December 24th. Middlehope Command advised smoke showing and requested to resound the alarm for an active fire in a chimney in the rear room area. Mutual Aid was requested from Good-Will (Engine), Cronomer Valley (Engine), Winona Lake (Engine), City of Newburgh (FAST), and Air National Guard (Engine). Plattekill and Orange Lake were on stand by at Middlehope's station two. Fire was contained using hand ladders and hand lines. Town of Newburgh EMS was at the scene. Command requested the Fire Inspector to the scene. Fire Police blocked Beech Street off during the incident.
