Hanover Township Fire Units Respond to Christmas Day Alarm in Wilkes-Barre

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — Units from Hanover Township Fire Department responded on December 25, 2025, to a mutual aid request into the Wilkes-Barre for a reported commercial fire alarm activation.

Engine 1 and Fire Command were dispatched to the 400 block of South Main Street following the alarm activation at a commercial property. Firefighters conducted an investigation upon arrival and determined the incident to be a false alarm, with no fire conditions found.

All Hanover Township Fire Department units were subsequently cleared from the scene without incident. The department noted that the response highlights the importance of mutual aid cooperation between neighboring municipalities, even on major holidays, to ensure rapid response and public safety.
