Magnolia, NJ — December 11 — At a reported commercial vehicle fire in the Lawnside Fire Company's first-due area, Magnolia Fire Company 29 and Quint Company 29 arrived to help Squad Company 272. When Quint Company 29 arrived, it worked as an engine company and assisted Lawnside units with suppression attempts. Crews attempted to contain the fire after discovering a commercial truck involved. No exposure problems were found, and the event was swiftly handled. For a little period, units stayed on the scene to finish last-minute inspections and make sure the car was completely extinguished. Responding companies were freed and put back into duty when command verified steady conditions. Operations were carried out using conventional incident command and mutual-aid protocols, and no injuries were reported.
