During the Penn Hills Heroes Holiday Celebration on December 17, Penn Hills Elementary School students welcomed local first responders. The Beekeepers, the school's Student Leadership Team, planned the event to introduce kids to local public safety officials. While interacting with schoolchildren, members of the Penn Hills Police Department and firefighters from Penn Hills No. 7 Volunteer Fire Company were welcomed with cookies and hot cocoa. Students had the chance to examine and inquire about fire apparatus, such as Truck 227 and Engine 227, which were on display.
