Westampton Township, NJ — December 21 — As part of a mutual-aid assignment, Westampton Township Emergency Services responded to a reported residential structure fire in Springfield Township on December 21. Following established safety protocols, Squad 2722 arrived on the site, stretched a handline, and finished a primary search of the house.

Incident command gave the order for all inside staff to leave the building as the fire conditions worsened and worries about the structure's deterioration surfaced. Firefighter safety and accountability were given top priority throughout operations. There were no recorded firefighter injuries. Coordination between response agencies and ongoing risk assessment are necessary for structural fires involving compromised buildings.
