In response to a reported cabin fire on Box 9-14, Fannett-Metal Fire and Ambulance Inc. units were sent to Blacklog Valley Road and Terry Lee Lane in Huntingdon County at 1801 hours. On November 28, Rescue Engine 12, Tanker 12, and Brush 12 arrived at the area over the mountain.
Brush trucks were used for fireground operations because of access restrictions for heavier equipment. As the second-in brush unit, Brush 12's crews joined other responding companies to help with fire attack and overhaul. Accessing the building and managing the fire's residual conditions were the key goals of operations. During the incident, Cumberland County Company 51 transferred into the valley to provide coverage while units operated at the scene. FMFD units later cleared and returned to service following completion of assignments.
