Truck 42 and Engine 45 were sent to a reported mobile home fire in Fort Loudon shortly before noon on December 17th, prompting the Franklin Fire Company to react to Structure Fire No. 55. Units covered the Mercersburg region by responding west on Box 9-06.

Lt. 9-2, the first officer to arrive, reported seeing fire coming from beneath the building. Alongside other firms on the scene, Franklin firefighters supported ventilation operations, opened up, and checked for fire extension. Engine 45 assisted with suppression operations when assigned, while Truck 42 concentrated on access and ventilation duties. Before being released and going back to work in Franklin County, Station 4 units were on the scene for about half an hour.
