Columbus, New Jersey — December 1 — Working with Wrightstown Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 at the Franklin site, members and officers of Franklin Fire Company #1 underwent live-burn training as part of their yearly program. Interior fire assault, hose line progression, coordinated ventilation, and crew communication under controlled live-fire conditions were all covered in the training. Each evolution was overseen by officers from both agencies to guarantee that safety protocols and training goals were upheld all evening.

Firefighters can practice effective tactics and collaboration by working in realistic heat and smoke during live-burn drills. Coordination between departments that frequently respond to incidents together is also improved through training with mutual-aid partners. Regional firefighter training programs are still supported by Franklin Fire Company #1, which is situated at 3135 Route 206 in Columbus.
