NEWBURGH, NY - Winona Lake and Orange Lake FDs responded to a reported head-on collision with possible entrapment on the New York State Thruway-Interstate 87-Northbound at mile marker 60.6 on December 24, 2024. Winona Lake Command advised there was no entrapment. Town of Newburgh EMS and New York State Police were at the scene. Town of Newburgh EMS transported two subjects to Montefiore-St. Luke's Hospital. Firefighters assisted with traffic and made both vehicles safe from hazards. New York State Police are investigating the cause.
