NEWBURGH, NY - Cronomer Valley FD responded to a reported vehicle fire at State Route 32 and Hy Vue Drive on December 24, 2022. Units arrived and found a working vehicle fire. Town of Newburgh Police arrived on scene and blocked the roadway while firefighters used a hand line to extinguish the fire. Portable Jaws of Life was also used to open the hood of the vehicle. State DOT was called to salt the roadway. The Town of Newburgh Police Dept. is investigating the cause of the fire. The driver of the vehicle was uninjured.
