On December 7, Blaine Hill firemen participated in winter holiday events by going to the East Bethlehem Township Volunteer Fire Company 15's Annual Cocoa Crawl and Christmas Parade in Fredericktown, Washington County.

Members of the Blaine Hill Volunteer Fire Company participated in the parade and displayed the department’s 142-Air vehicle, which had recently been upgraded with an eight-master-cylinder mobile air cascade system capable of filling 5,500-psi SCBA cylinders. As one of three parade judges, Assistant Fire Chief Bob Zirkle was asked to assess the holiday spirit, inventiveness, and showmanship of the floats, marching units, and fire and rescue gear. The evening concluded with a fireworks display conducted by Pyrotechnic Artists, launched over the Monongahela River, adding to the holiday celebration.
