On November 30, at 3:24 p.m., Station 12-7 was called to Weymouth Township School due to an activated fire alarm. Unit 12-700 took over as soon as they arrived and started examining the structure. Crews discovered a strong electrical stench and smoke in the boiler room. Subsequent analysis revealed that the smoke issue was caused by a heater circulating pump that had burned out.
Firefighters secured the area and ventilated the boiler room and adjacent spaces. Crews also checked the remainder of the building to confirm no extension and ensure normal conditions were restored. Members remained on scene for approximately one hour. A total of 12 personnel responded to the call, including three engines and two ambulances. Dorothy Volunteer Fire Company units operated throughout the incident before returning to service.
