Every year, the Westport Recreation Department hosts a Christmas tree lighting, in which members of the Westport Fire Department take part on 8th December. Holiday lights were used to embellish Rehab 1 and Ladder 7. In order to help brighten the parking area, firefighters provided two light towers and distributed candy canes. The agency thanks Wild Honey Cafe for providing cookies and hot chocolate, and the Westport Police agency for showcasing their equipment. Westport Fire was pleased to contribute to the success of this yearly community custom.
