December 20, 2025 — The Westbrookville Volunteer Fire Company #1 reported a busy morning around the station, highlighting continued improvements, hands-on training, and an active push for new members.

Firefighters mounted a new I Am Responding status screen in the apparatus bay, enhancing response coordination and situational awareness. The department thanked Bryan Williams for handling the technical setup of the system.

Training efforts continued as Firefighter Louis Tunno began driver and pump operations training on unit 34-51. Assistant Chief Lattimer conducted approximately two hours of driver training, with additional focus on gaining valuable pump operation experience.

Department officials emphasized the ongoing need for new members and encouraged interested residents to reach out directly. Those considering joining are invited to message the department so a member of the recruitment committee can arrange a meeting. Westbrookville Fire Company stated it looks forward to welcoming new volunteers to its dedicated team.
