Narrowsburg Firefighters Contain Basement Ceiling Fire

December 5, 2025 — At approximately 4:45 p.m., the Narrowsburg Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a possible structure fire with smoke inside a residence on Bridge Street.
A three-member crew entered the home to investigate and located an active fire in the ceiling of the basement. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire, successfully containing it to the basement ceiling and preventing further extension.
Narrowsburg Fire Department thanked the Yulan Fire Department and Beach Lake Fire Company for their assistance, along with BC #1, Sullivan County 911, and the Tusten Volunteer Ambulance Service for their support at the scene.
