December 10, 2025 — The Loch Sheldrake Fire Department credited quick action and strong communication for saving a residence during a fire response earlier that day.
Firefighters from the Woodbourne and Loch Sheldrake fire departments worked together to control the incident, preventing significant damage to the home. An assistant chief from the Manor Fire Department, who was working in town at the time, identified the situation as a working fire and promptly notified dispatch.
Loch Sheldrake officials also thanked the Hurleyville Fire Department for providing standby coverage at LSFD, along with Fire Investigators Fink and Hawker and employees from the Town of Fallsburg for their assistance during the incident.
