December 12, 2025 — The Kauneonga Lake Fire Department announced that firefighter and diver Juan Gomez has been named Diver of the Year by the Sullivan County Dive & Rescue Team.
The recognition highlights Gomez’s skill, dedication, and commitment to dive rescue operations throughout the county. Department members congratulated him on the well-deserved honor.
