Callicoon Fire Assists Hortonville at Pole Crash Scene

December 3, 2025 — At 9:59 a.m., the Callicoon Fire Department, Station 63, was automatically dispatched to assist the Hortonville Fire Department, Station 10, at the scene of a one-vehicle motor vehicle accident.


Upon arrival, responding units found a vehicle that had struck a utility pole, resulting in downed wires and a hazardous roadway condition. Firefighters secured the scene, established safety perimeters, and coordinated with Hortonville crews to manage hazards until the situation was stabilized.


The incident was handled without further complications, and responding agencies worked together to ensure public safety before returning to service.
