At the Berkley Lights On celebration on December 8, members of Berkley Fire and Rescue and their families concluded the day, supporting yet another popular neighborhood custom.

Santa and Mrs. Claus were given a ride onto the common by firefighters as a small act of "mutual aid" to the North Pole, where they interacted with people and took pictures with kids. In addition to thanking the Berkley Celebrations Committee for planning the event, Berkley Fire and Rescue also expressed gratitude to the Berkley CERT Team for working with local police to help with traffic control and road closures.
