Andover, Mass. — December 20 — Three firemen who just finished the 48-hour Massachusetts Firefighting Academy Fire Prevention Officer I training were congratulated by Andover Fire Rescue.

Authority and jurisdiction, building inspections, fire safety systems, and code enforcement were among the important subjects covered in the course. Through better inspection and enforcement procedures, the training enhances the department's efforts to prevent fires and promote community safety.
