On 10th Dec 2025, Holiday excitement filled the air in Cutchogue as the Cutchogue Fire Department announced the return of one of the community’s most cherished traditions — Santa Claus arriving by helicopter at the firehouse as part of the annual Christmas in Cutchogue celebration.
After a two-year pause due to new firehouse construction, the event is set to make its long-awaited comeback on Saturday, December 13. Festivities will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the firehouse with a children’s magic show and refreshments provided by the CFD Ladies Auxiliary. At 10:30 a.m., Santa will make his grand entrance, flying in by helicopter to the delight of children and families gathered on the firehouse grounds.
Following his arrival, Santa will be escorted by Cutchogue fire apparatus through the village to the Cutchogue-New Suffolk Library, where he will spend the morning visiting with children and spreading holiday cheer.
The event is hosted by the Cutchogue Fire Department in partnership with the CFD Ladies Auxiliary and the North Fork Chamber of Commerce, continuing a long-standing tradition that celebrates community, volunteerism, and the holiday spirit.
Residents are invited to attend and enjoy a festive morning filled with family fun, seasonal magic, and the warmth of a tradition that has been part of Cutchogue for generations.
