The Christmas season officially arrived in Cutchogue this weekend with help from the Cutchogue Fire Department, as firefighters assisted Santa Claus with two special community appearances that delighted families across the North Fork.
On Friday morning, CFD’s treasured antique fire truck, 8-5-2A — known affectionately as “Fog-2,” a restored 1952 Ford — served as Santa’s sleigh, escorting him to Santa’s Christmas Tree Farm in Cutchogue. With lights flashing and sirens sounding, Santa arrived to a joyful crowd of children and parents eager to welcome the holiday season.
The celebrations continued Saturday as Santa was escorted aboard Engine 8-5-4 to the North Fork Country Club for its annual Gingerbread Brunch. Once again, families gathered as Santa made his grand entrance, spreading cheer and holiday excitement throughout the community.
The Cutchogue Fire Department remains proud to support these beloved traditions, helping Santa make his rounds while strengthening community spirit and celebrating the season of giving.
