Groton Long Point, Connecticut — 24th November — As part of ongoing operational preparation, the Groton Long Point Volunteer Fire Department trained the Noank Fire Department in vehicle fire safety. Vehicle fire size-up, safe apparatus placement, hose line selection, and common roadway incident suppression tactics were the main topics of the instruction. Firefighters examined the risks associated with contemporary automobiles, such as gasoline systems, electrical parts, and lightweight building materials. Maintaining scene safety and coordinated actions during active fire conditions were prioritized.
Back To Basics Fire Training helped guarantee that evolutions adhered to accepted fire service training standards by offering guidance and assistance. Departments can practice together while strengthening consistent strategies and communication through joint training opportunities.
