Colchester, Connecticut — 21st November — At its location on Old Hartford Road, the Colchester Hayward Volunteer Fire Company has finished a significant renovation to its burn building by adding training levels on the second and third floors.

Tom Hardy and his team from Charter Oak Utility Contractors, who provided staff, tools, and labor to support the project, helped set up the containers this week.

To install the containers effectively and safely, the team supplied a telehandler with an operator and extra personnel. Firefighters can practice real-world scenarios, including as hose advancement, search operations, ventilation, and command functions, in multi-story burn buildings. These facilities are frequently utilised for simulated and live-fire training carried out in accordance with national safety regulations.
