Probationary firefighters Stephen D'Urso and Dereck Silvestro received congratulations from Andover Fire Rescue on their graduation from the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy. After completing a rigorous ten-week training program, both firefighters were part of Career Recruit Class 334. To prepare them for operational responsibilities in the field, they received training on fire behavior, search and rescue, ladder operations, SCBA use, and live-fire evolutions.
