Baltic, Connecticut — 25th November — When a chimney fire was reported at a Baltic home, the Lisbon Fire Department sent automatic assistance to the Baltic Fire Engine Co. #1. When units arrived, they saw smoke coming from the chimney and started working together.

A team from S224 and crews assigned to C324 went inside the house to secure the stove and remove any leftover fuel from the firebox. To remove the chimney and look for an extension, more workers from ET-124 and TW-154 gained access to the roof. Under the incident command system, operations were carried out with an emphasis on hazard control and stopping the spread of the fire. After conditions were secured, units were put back into service without any reported injuries to occupants or response personnel.
