One Person Heavily Trapped in Lindenhurst MVA

LINDENHURST, NY - At approximately 2:38 A.M. on December 20, 2022, the Lindenhurst Fire Department was alerted for an auto accident with entrapment in front of 247 West Montauk Highway. Upon response of the first responding chiefs, Babylon Central Fire Alarm advised them that SCPD was on scene confirming that a person was trapped and requested a rush on rescue. Upon the arrival of 1-6-14, the crew put all the extrication tools to work. Suffolk County Police ESU used their extrication tools to extricate the patient, who was then transported to a local hospital. Units operated under the command of Chief of Department Michael DeGregorio. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
