An update on Engine 2's construction, currently underway at Pierce Manufacturing in Appleton, Wisconsin, was provided by Nashua Fire Rescue.

An important turning point in the apparatus construction process was reached at this phase of the build when the cab, pump house, and body were effectively integrated with the frame. This stage moves the project closer to final assembly, according to department officials. Nashua Fire Rescue anticipates that the completely built Engine 2 will be included in the upcoming upgrade and is eager to put the new equipment into operation soon.
