Demarest Fire Honors Fallen Lt. William Stimper

December 13, 2025 — The Demarest Fire Department paid tribute as its Ladder Company flew the American flag during a street dedication honoring Lt. William Stimper.


Lt. Stimper died in the line of duty while operating at a structure fire at 70 William Street in the City of Englewood. The ceremony recognized his sacrifice and service to the fire service and the community.


Department members joined others in remembrance, honoring Lt. Stimper’s legacy and ensuring his dedication and bravery are not forgotten.
