East Putnam, Connecticut — December 11 — According to department authorities, the East Putnam Fire Department, which is situated at 263 Providence Turnpike, responded to many accidents in the evening. In order to help the Thompson Fire Engine Company with an RV fire on the Elmwood Hill Road Eversource easement, Tanker 179 was asked for mutual aid. Rescue 179 was responding to a medical emergency in the East Putnam area at the same time. Rescue 179 sent extra men to the fire scene to help with overhaul operations when the medical crisis was under control.
