East Killingly, Connecticut — December 13 — Twenty Firefighter II students completed a crucial step in the certification process by passing their state practical exam. The practical tests assessed fundamental Firefighter II abilities, such as coordinated company work under predetermined standards, safety procedures, and fireground operations. The purpose of state practical testing is to verify that applicants can apply what they have learnt in the classroom to real-world situations while working together. The East Killingly Fire Department acknowledged the kids' dedication throughout their training program and supported the testing. The Firefighter II qualification enhances overall operational readiness and enables members to carry out more responsibilities on emergency scenes. The program's preparation, instruction, and teamwork were demonstrated by the tests' successful completion.
