Dayville, Connecticut — December 9 — Dayville Fire Company Ladder 163 went to Ponaganset High School in Glocester to help Quint 31 and West Glocester Fire and Rescue raise a flag in honor of Wreaths Across America. The ladder truck was positioned to safely raise the flag as part of a ceremony welcoming the annual program into the community. To guarantee appropriate equipment placement and safe operations throughout the event, firefighters collaborated with host departments, school personnel, and event organizers. Wreaths Across America ceremonies are held nationwide each December to honor military veterans and recognize their service. Community-based events such as this highlight cooperation between fire departments, schools, and local partners while supporting public safety and respectful observances.
