On 8th December 2025 Witmer Fire Protective Association and Martindale Volunteer Fire Department provided coverage Monday as crews operated at a working building fire in Berks County.

Pumper Tanker 62 from Witmer Fire, staffed with four firefighters, was placed on standby alongside Martindale Volunteer Fire Department’s Engine 03, staffed with six firefighters, at Bowmansville Fire Company Station 33. The standby assignment ensured continued fire protection for the area while local companies committed resources to the incident.

Both units were noted sporting Christmas wreaths on their apparatus, adding a seasonal touch during an otherwise busy operational period. Witmer Fire officials said the assignment reflects continued cooperation between departments and a shared commitment to regional mutual aid during emergencies.
