Lancaster County firefighters and first responders will have the opportunity to take part in a nationally recognized leadership seminar next month as Witmer Fire Protective Association hosts Pride & Ownership: The Love for the Job with retired Fire Chief Rick Lasky.

The one-day seminar is scheduled for Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Conestoga Valley High School Auditorium, located at 2110 Horseshoe Road in Lancaster. Registration is $50 per person and includes lunch and light refreshments. Pre-registration is required, with seating limited.

Chief Lasky, a well-known speaker in the fire service community, is respected nationwide for his message focusing on pride, tradition, accountability, leadership, and personal ownership in the profession. Organizers say the seminar is designed for firefighters at all stages of their careers, from new members building their foundation to experienced firefighters seeking renewed motivation.

Witmer Fire officials noted it has been several years since Chief Lasky last visited the area and expressed excitement about bringing his message back to Lancaster County. They encourage firefighters and supporters of the fire service to register early and take advantage of the opportunity to learn from one of the most influential voices in the industry.
