November 13, 2025 | Witmer Fire Protective Association — Witmer Volunteer firefighters remained active throughout the past week responding to emergency calls while also advancing station projects and training initiatives across East Lampeter Township. Witmer Fire serves alongside three other township fire companies, answering more than 300 calls annually in a community of roughly 20,000 residents that swells significantly during the busy summer months. Members continue to focus on a community-first mission, working closely with mutual aid partners to protect lives and property. When not responding to emergencies, volunteers dedicate time to training and community outreach events. The association is actively seeking new members, including support personnel, firefighters, drivers/operators, and fire police, and invites interested individuals to stop by Station 62 at 455 Mount Sidney Road on Mondays between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. to learn more and pick up an application.
