WESTFIELD, NJ - A reported car fire prompted the Town of Westfield, NJ Fire Department to respond to Nancy Way at Lamberts Mill Road, December 9, 2025. A mail vehicle was completely involved when Engines 3, 4, and 5 arrived. The fire was contained in a matter of minutes when crews started suppression efforts right away. At the time of the event, the vehicle was reportedly partially laden with parcels and mail. A minor fluid leak was addressed by Union County Hazardous Materials staff, and it was contained without any problems. There were no recorded injuries to firefighters or civilians.
