MAYBROOK, NY - The Maybrook and Montgomery Fire Departments responded to a reported structure fire at 301 Tower Ave. in Maybrook, December 12th.
Command reported a 30' x 80' two-story, multiple-dwelling with heavy fire on the second floor and requested a second-alarm sounded, bringing in Campbell Hall, Montgomery/Ladder, Coldenham/Ladder-Engine, Walden/Ladder-Engine, Salisbury Mills/Tanker, and Goshen as the FAST.
At the 30 minute status check, the bulk of fire was knocked down and overhaul and searches began. A third-alarm sounded at the 50 minute status check. All searches were confirmed negative. Firefighters had two ladder trucks in operation, as well as multiple hand lines. Central Hudson was called to the scene for a power cut.
Good Will FD stood by in Maybrook quarters during the incident. Montgomery EMS, village and state police, as well as coordinators 36-1, 36-4, 36-6, 36-12, 36-15 and 36-101 were also at the scene. The fire is currently under investigation.
