Coeymans Hollow, N.Y. — December 7 — On Sunday night, Coeymans Hollow Volunteer Fire Corp., located at 1290 SR 143, responded to an automobile and deer collision. After the collision, the caller—who was also the driver—first claimed to have been pinned inside. Car 6-01 verified the driver had self-extricated and was unharmed upon arrival. Ravena Rescue and Albany County Paramedics were cancelled since no EMS assistance was needed. While Coeymans Police and the Albany County Sheriff's Office helped with road safety, Rescue 6-10 crews continued to manage traffic. Officials continue to advise drivers to use caution on rural roads because they observe an increase in deer collisions in the early winter, particularly around nightfall.
